PARABLES #4 | The Unmerciful Servant | July 24, 2022
Brian Van Eps | Teaching Pastor
Matthew 18:21-35 (NIV)
The driving question in this parable: How should I forgive?
The King: God
The Servant: Us
The Fellow Servant: Everybody Else
The First Takeaway: I’ve been forgiven by the King
The Second Takeaway: Who have I not forgiven?
The Heart of this Story: Forgiven people forgive others
Reflection Questions:
1) Why do you think Peter asked "how many times should I forgive?"
2) What is the debt of sin that you have been forgiven of?
3) When was the last time that you were forgiven by someone?
4) When was the last time you forgave someone?
5) Spend some time reflecting upon someone that you have not forgiven and how your heart could change toward them.
