Sanctify: “set apart”.

Jesus prayed for us.

What is Jesus doing right now?

“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” Romans 8:33-34 (NIV)

Jesus is praying for you right now.

“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” 1 John 2:1 (NIV)

“It is a consoling thought,” wrote theologian Louis Berkhof, “that Christ is praying for us, even when we are negligent in our prayer life.” Our prayer life stinks most of the time. But what if you heard Jesus praying aloud for you in the next room. Few things would calm us more deeply.
